Link Interactive Packages and Equipment Costs

We’re a big fan of Link Interactive because not only do they offer a reliable all-encompassing security system that’s compatible with Z-Wave technology for home automation, but they also offer some of the lowest prices in monitoring features and equipment.

When you buy directly from Link Interactive, you’ll pay a $99 equipment charge, but once that’s been processed, you can use that towards purchasing equipment.

Link Interactive Equipment Breakdown

When it comes to installing Link Interactive’s equipment, you’ll find that it’s not a simple unbox and plug-in setup process. In fact, nearly each sensor and piece of equipment will need additional configuration when your system arrives. Thankfully, Link Interactive has installation guides available to customers to walk you through the process of setting up and getting your security system running properly. Check out our video of us installing the 2GIG Control Panel to get an idea of the complexity of installation required.

Link Interactive Control Panel

Unlike some of our other top-rated home security companies like Frontpoint and LiveWatch, Link Interactive offers only one control panel that’s already a touchscreen. It’s designed with the intentions of allowing room for additional innovation to continue to support the future in various Z-Wave supported appliances and equipment.

2GIG Go!Control Panel

Link Interactive Intrusion Sensors

When it comes to selecting your sensors from Link Interactive, there’s a lot to choose from. For example, while many of our other favorite security companies like Frontpoint offer a sole garage sensor that serves a self-explanatory function, Link Interactive offers multiple garage-related sensors. Depending on what you’re looking for, the variety may create a pleasant purchasing experience or potentially overwhelming.

Basic Door/Window Sensor

link interactive thin door sensor

Standard door/window sensor that detects whenever your monitored entrances are opened or closed.

Bypass Door/ Window Sensor

Basic door or window sensor

Standard peel-and-stick door/window sensor for main entry points. Programmed with a one-time temporary bypass to allow quick arm/disarm for quick entry situations to avoid false alarms. You get three within each equipment package and two more in the Premium + Video package.

2GIG Thin Wireless Door/ Window Sensor

link interactive thin door sensor

Designed to be much thinner than the standard door/ window sensor. This is also good for within the home such as medicine cabinets, safes, or jewelry boxes.

Wireless Recessed Door and Window Sensor

Designed to be hidden, it has the same functionality as the standard door/window sensor, but will require drilling to the inside of your door.

Tilt Door Sensor

Garage Door Sensor

Triggers whenever garage opening passes 45-degrees. Link Interactive has a wide variety of garage sensors to choose from.

Glass Break Detector

Detects glass breaks for rooms with several or large glass windows or doors. Quality of performance may be hindered if there are blinds or large curtains.

Motion Sensor

Motion Sensor

Designed by 2GIG to detect motion using infrared energy. Covers a 30’x35’ range – ideal for larger spacious living areas. Allows weight specification options for pet owners. Included in each equipment package.

Image Sensor

Image Sensor

Combination of a motion sensor with a built-in camera that takes still shots when motion is detected. View or monitor live at any time.

Each Link Interactive equipment package is built with a few essential intrusion sensors. Visit the Link Interactive website to add more.

Link Interactive Environmental Sensors

While variety might be seen as a plus for some customers, when it comes to security, we like to have easy options too. We’ve found that Link Interactive offers some sensors that detect more than one issue in a household, which can potentially confuse and overwhelm buyers who don’t necessarily know if they need all those included functions or not. Nonetheless, we’ve chosen some of the most important environmental sensors to consider adding to your custom security system below, but be sure to check out the full scope of products when you go thru the purchasing process.

Carbon Monoxide Sensor
